I sold my company in Feb and decided to go to India on my own for three and a half weeks to celebrate. I wanted to experience the spiritual side of India, as well as seeing the culture, and I wanted to do it in style. From my first Skype meeting with Jo, I knew it was the right choice. It was an epic trip and Kokoindia did not disappoint. I travelled from the Himalayas down through Rajasthan and Kerala, across to Madurai and Pondicherry. I already had some hotels in mind and Jo helped me pick the rest. Itinerary was well paced and exactly what I needed to have time to explore. A very special ‘homestay’ was one of a number of truly unique venues booked for us through the brilliant, well-organised and very personalised travel company KOKOindia. The beautiful palace on the edge of a small village in rural Rajasthan has been meticulously and lovingly restored by the 14th generation owners of their ancestral home. The warm welcome, delicious organic food and attention we received from the family in this gorgeous setting was the highlight of our very bespoke journey through Rajasthan. We cannot recommend Chanoud Garh and KOKOindia highly enough.

We were encouraged by a friend who had booked before to contact Joanna at KOKOindia because we had both always wanted to take our kids to India aged 7, 10 and 12. We wanted a mix of both beach time and adventure to keep all ages happy, and Joanna suggested a week in Kerala exploring the backwaters and Munnar, followed by a family villa in Goa. Everything was extremely well organised, from our lovely drivers to a great combination of hotels and houseboats in Kerala. The week spent in Goa was totally relaxing and we did everything we wanted from chilled home days to beach days to Saturday night market. We simply can’t recommend KOKOindia Luxury Travels enough for a fantastic introduction to India.

I travelled to India with my seven year old son last year to do a Kokoindia safari – it was the adventure of a lifetime for us both! Although I was a bit nervous about it being just the two of us for the first time in India, my friend put me touch with Joanna, and she made all my worries go away. We had a few conversations by phone first and then she designed the trip with me – from a couple of days in Mumbai ( we had a great child friendly boutique hotel and even went to an amazing cinema) to the safari itself. I opted for Bandhavgarh and the lodge was amazing. We saw elephants and two tigers with their cubs. My son couldn’t get over it. Above all I felt really supported, and Joanna (also a solo parent who has travelled across India with her son) couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. I can’t thank Kokoindia enough for making this dream happen – don’t hesitate to get in touch with Joanna if you want to visit India with your kids.

KOKOindia was recommend to us by a friend, as soon as our friend said to use them , I knew that they must be good. Joanna and her team did not disappoint. We discussed a rough idea of what we wanted to achieve and over what time, and Joanna put together the perfect itinerary. Every little detail was sorted to our liking. Fantastic guides , awesome hotels , it ran like clockwork. All picks ups, drop offs, bookings, access to sites and places were all pre organised and delivered successfully. We were given a beautiful book of our trip , with tips and suggestions for our free time. All the restaurants that were suggested were great. Nothing disappointed.
Having previously travelled in India I just couldn’t believe how easy this trip turned out. I can’t recommend Joanna enough if you’re planning a fabulous trip to India, her great experience, contacts and knowledge of the country will lead to a successful trip of India for you. We also stayed at Vismaya as part of our KOKOindia holiday and it was divine. We arrived and thought we were in paradise. This is not really a hotel – it’s an exclusive villa with two rooms. We were lucky to be the only guests when we stayed, but I’d hire this place on my own. Its just amazing, so beautifully placed at the end of a peninsula on the lake. An old heritage house restored and so tastefully done. The staff are just amazing, nothing is too much for them. The food and drinks were exquisite. The outdoor bathroom is heaven. I would return just to holiday here. Thank you so much Joanna for including this in our itinerary.

Joanna and KOKOindia offer a fantastic service that will really help make your time in Goa extra special. I have been to a couple of weddings where Joanna acted as celebrant and can’t recommend her enough – such a lovely energy and presence. I am currently planning a second family holiday with KOKOindia (this time to Rajastan in June), and wanted to write a review of recommendation to anyone thinking of bringing their kids to India. Four years ago, we wanted to take the kids on a wildlife safari holiday but didn’t even know where to begin. (India is huge!) Someone recommended KOKO to us and I had a really good helpful chat with Joanna first about what we wanted to do. Basically we didn’t want to be on the usual tourist route but still needed to make sure we went somewhere that was family friendly. Madhya Pradesh is an amazing place to see wildlife and we stayed in two amazing hunting lodges where we got to see different animals in both places. The kids loved it! Everything was taken care of – friendly driver, rooms upgraded when we got there, lots of helpful tips about travelling with kids on safari and our own souvenir itinerary brochure which we’ve kept for the kids. We can’t wait for Rajastan and we can’t recommend KOKOindia highly enough!

Joanna was extremely knowledgeable, super helpful and went above and beyond to explain to us the various options and choices that were available to us, so that we could make informed decisions about our trip to Rajastan in 2016. I went on a KOKO Lunch Club and it was fantastic! A beautiful location steeped in Goan history with absolutely delicious food and great company-I would never have found it alone. It was such a highlight of my trip to Goa that I recommended Joanna to various friends who went onto book wonderful trips with KOKOindia in Kerala and Rajasthan. Such a friendly travel company who know all the best and most beautiful places to stay.
